SANTA MARIA – With help from the public, police have identified the man authorities believe is responsible for the April Fool’s Day burglary of Max Auto Sales.
On April 7th, the Santa Maria Police Department released a grainy photograph from Auto Max’s video surveillance that captured the alleged burglary and suspect.
Tips from the public led to the identification of the Santa Maria man, 41 years-old Manuel Garcia, who is currently wanted for commercial burglary in connection to the April 1st theft of Auto Max Sales, according to police.
Garcia has yet to be located, and police are once again asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect. He is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information about Garcia’s whereabouts is urged to call the Police Department at (805) 928-3781. Anonymous tips can also be made by calling CrimeStoppers at 1-877-800-9100.
