Tips Lead to Quick Arrest of Credit Union Robbery Suspect
PALO ALTO -The same day that Provident Credit Union was robbed on April 13, 2013, the Palo Alto Police Department sent out a bulletin to regional law enforcement agencie swith a photo of the suspect. Immediately a deputy from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office recognized the suspect from a prior booking as did the suspect’s probation officer from the San Mateo County Probation Department. The suspect had been on active probation in San Mateo County from prior convictions for possession of narcotics and evading police.

The suspect had been on active probation inSan Mateo County from prior convictions for possession of narcotics and evading police.
Further investigation connected the suspect to the robbery, according to Lieut. ZachPerron. The PAPD along with the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System to the arrest of 50 year old transient Eddie Darrell Boyce, Jr.Boyce was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for one count of robbery,which is a felony.
