SANTA MARIA – An investigation into a domestic violence incident that occurred within city limits over the weekend resulted in the arrest of the suspected abuser, according to the Police Department.
Jorge Maldonado, 41, was arrested by police just before 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, on suspicion of attempted murder related to the investigation. He was booked at Santa Barbara County Jail on the single felony charge, police said.
Authorities aren’t releasing any details of the investigation, including the victim’s name, age or city of residence, since it’s related to an alleged domestic violence. The case, which was initiated by police on Friday, May 3, is still under investigation.
