Police Arrest Former Dixon High Coach For Sexual Misconduct With A Minor
YOLO – 37-year-old Troy Hensley was arrested May 30 by Davis police for allegedly engaging in an illicit sexual relationship with a 17 year old Dixon girl, according to a Davis police spokesperson. The relationship with the girl took place in Davis for three and a half months in 2012.
Hensley is now lodged at Yolo County Jail with bail set at $1 million. He is charged with unlawful sex with a minor and “threatening a crime with intent to terrorize.”
During their investigation, police ascertained that Hensley had threatened to do harm to the minor victim if she or others reported his alleged crimes to the police.
Working with Dixon Police detectives, Davis Police began investigating Hensley on May 22.
As a former Dixon High basketball coach, Hensley had interacted with underage females in the performance of his duties.
Also in 2012, Hensley caused controversy when he was dismissed as a Dixon High Junior Varsity football coach, even though he had led the JV Rams to a 9-1 season, winning a Golden Empire League Title for the second year in a row.
Many Dixon High players, parents and other coaches had rallied to support Hensley to no avail.
Police are concerned there may be other unreported victims in Davis and Dixon or elsewhere, and ask anyone with further information to contact The Davis Police Investigations Bureau at 530-747-5400.
