Man Gets 38 Days in Jail for Trying to Drag Teen From Bookstore
Saif Mohamed Moussa told his teen victim he intended to marry her. The bizarre incident happened at an Aliso Viejo Barnes & Noble.
A 29-year-old man who tried to drag a teenage girl out of a bookstore in Aliso Viejo last month pleaded guilty Wednesday to misdemeanor child annoyance and was immediately sentenced to 38 days in jail.
Saif Mohamed Moussa was also placed on three years of formal probation. A felony charge of attempted false imprisonment was dismissed under the plea agreement.
The 17-year-old victim was shopping in the Barnes & Noble store at 26751 Aliso Creek Road about 2 p.m. May 18 when Moussa wrapped her in a bear hug and started walking her to the front door, said Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
“He said he intended to marry her,” Amormino said.
