Captured burglar gets angry Facebook message

Andrew Khachatourian and Chase Garcia
SANTA CLARITA—Chase Garcia may face jail time after being found with stolen property by LASD authorities, but he may have reason to fear a Facebook friend more once he’s released by authorities. Perhaps reacting to the news that Garcia and his accomplice Andrew Khachatourian had been arrested, a woman named Kristina Joy wrote “IM [sic] GONNA F***** KILL YOU” on Garcia’s Facebook page around the same time the LASD released the information behind the crime.

Some of the stolen property recovered from Garcia and Khachatourian
According to the LASD’s press release, a Santa Clarita resident reported of seeing two suspicious men walking through his neighborhood in the early morning hours of June 13th. Sheriff’s deputies quickly located and detained Garcia and Khachatourian on the scene.
After finding stolen property on the two suspects, detectives located thousands of dollars worth of stolen property in their follow up investigations. The recovered goods were mostly comprised of sunglasses and electronics.
Both Garcia and Khachatourian have prior criminal records. Garcia has been arrested at least twice for drug related charges. Khachatourian was arrested in 2011 for DUI, and in 2010 for assault.
While some of the items have already been returned to their original owners, Santa Clarita police are seeking the public’s help in identifying additional victims. Anyone with more information, or who thinks they may have been a victim, should contact the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s station at 661-255-1121.
