Cab Chauffeur Chokes for Chump Change
SAN FRANCISCO – When a temperamental cab driver does not gracefully get gratuity, what happens? One cabbie decided to take matters into his own hands– literally. Early Sunday morning near San Francisco’s Buena Vista Park, a 37-year-old male subject was driven to the intersection of Central Ave. and Waller St. at approximately 1 a.m., he paid his dues and asked for change back, which left nothing for the driver.
Temper-met-temper, a verbal altercation developed and the passenger ran. The driver, believed to be in his thirties, pursued the passenger and choked him. After the driver nabbed the subject’s change, he fled in his cab. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, he sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The cab driver is still at large, the subject is unsure as to what cab company the driver was employed by.
