Rocklin PD Arrests Burglary Suspects
ROCKLIN – Two suspects are in custody after a Rocklin resident caught the subjects leaving his property. The victim followed them until officers intervened, according to an official Rocklin Police Department press release.
Jesse Nieto, 24, of Sacramento, and Kenneth Modica, 46, of Rancho Cordova were taken into custody by officers and booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.
According to the Rocklin PD, on June 20, 2013, at 2:33 pm, an at-home resident on Wildflower Lane in Rocklin heard noises comes from inside the open garage. The resident walked out the front door and observed a subject exiting the garage.
A second male subject was reportedly standing on the sidewalk in front of the residence, and both subjects left in a mini-van.
The resident reportedly got in his own vehicle and followed the two suspects while his wife contacted police.
Rocklin police arrived in the area and conducted a traffic stop on the mini-van, ultimately taking both suspects into custody.
According to the Rocklin PD, both subjects had been in that neighborhood placing flyers from a solar company on front doors of homes in the area.
