Teen Caught on Video using Pepper Spray at Sacramento Mall
SACRAMENTO – Juan Miguel Pantoja, 19, was arrested Wednesday for the dispensing of pepper spray in the Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento. Sacramento police detectives served a search warrant at Pantoja’s Vacaville home. He was booked without incident into the Sacramento County Jail.
On June 1, 2013 multiple people were involved in an altercation at the Arden Fair Mall that escalated when one subject deployed pepper spray. The group quickly scattered, but other civilians who were not involved felt the stringent wrath of the aerosol agent. Mall security chief Steve Reed stated that the incidence occurred in the food court, and there was evident video footage. Arden Fair Mall is comprehensive in its security coverage, with cameras covering thousands of square feet.
