Hit-And-Run Victim’s Death Fuels Emotions At Bail Hearing
WOODLAND — The arraignment of a woman charged in the hit-and-run death of Alisa Horner (57) was interrupted by members of the victim’s family Wednesday.
Kristal Sutton, 28, a Woodland resident, faces felony hit-and-run charges for an incident that occurred Sunday evening in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store.
She also faced angry and grieving members of Horner’s family. Granted time to speak before the court, more than a dozen of them cried and raised their voices to inform Sutton of the magnitude of their loss.
Sutton replied that it had been an accident. Horner had suffered severe brain trauma, among many other injuries, and passed away Tuesday morning.
Sutton’s bail was raised to $100,000 and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 18.
