Santa Maria Man Facing Child Porn Charges

SANTA MARIA – A 25-year-old man is facing charges of manufacturing child pornography following his filming of an underage girl earlier this month, according to police.

Scott Childers, of Santa Maria, was arrested Wednesday, July 17, for the alleged filming that police believe happened July 12.

The Santa Maria man was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing child pornography following an investigation by police into an alleged video taping of a female minor without her consent, according to police.

Authorities aren’t releasing the victim’s name or age, and police have said they won’t release any further details about the case.
