Man Arrested for Attempted Murder
According to the Atascadero Police Department Michael Anthony Nunez (24), of Atascadero was arrested for his connection to the attempted murder of a victim admitted to Twin Cities Hospital in Templeton on Friday.
The victim had suffered from multiple stab wounds and police say Nunez was identified as one of the suspects. However, they are still searching for a second suspect.
Police say after the identification of the two suspects and their vehicles, arrest warrants were requested and issued.
On Monday evening, a CHP officer stopped the vehicle Nunez was driving on Fourth Street near Ocean View Avenue in Grover Beach.
Nunez was arrested and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail for attempted murder.
Police are requesting the public’s help in their search for the second suspect, a man by the name of Albert Earnest Moore (35), of Atascadero.
Moore is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes, approximately 5’10”, and weighing between 190 and 215 pounds. He is believed to be driving a brown Chrysler Sebring convertible with a California license plate, number 4BUB576.
Police say Moore is considered armed and dangerous and citizens should not attempt to approach him.
