Man Injured in Stabbing Lied About Attack

A man who told police that he had been attacked by a group of young men and stabbed as he walked home from a Glendora bus stop made up the entire story, even going as far as inflicting a stab wound on himself according to Glendora Police.

Sgt. Brian Summers said detectives investigating the case found inconsistencies with the 36-year-old man’s story, who told police he had been attacked at around 12:45 a.m. on July 25.

“He made the story up,” said Summers. “Although we’re still looking into a motive, we believe he may have been seeking attention.”
