Woman Plows Into Fire Hydrant in Newark

A woman was arrested in Newark, California on Tuesday for driving into a fire hydrant while intoxicated.

Witnesses say they saw Erica Corte’s car driving on the wrong side of the road in the 55100 block of Dorchester Court at 11:36 p.m. Newark Police said her car swerved across the median into a small tree and a fire hydrant, which broke.
