Police Investigate Gang-Related Shooting
PASO ROBLES — Police are investigating what they are calling a gang-related shooting that happened early Sunday morning at 2:30 a.m. According to police, they received a call stating there’d been shots fired on the 2800 block of Oak St.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a vehicle and a residence had been hit by several rounds.
Police say the target was a 21-year-old who told them somebody shot at him a few times, though he could not identify any suspect (s). Other witnesses claimed the involved vehicle was a black passenger vehicle, maybe a Honda, and that the suspect vehicle was occupied by four Hispanic males.
It was reported the four exchanged words prior to the shooting.
The victim’s family told police the shooting was due to the victim’s gang affiliation.
Police are treating the shooting as a gang-involved incident and are asking anyone with information to call PRPD at 237-6464.
