PASO ROBLES – The Paso Robles police have a woman in custody for prostitution after officers conducted an undercover operation into several massage parlors.
According to PRPD, the operation was conducted last Tuesday at locations suspected of engaging in prostitution.
Police say the operation was initiated after receiving several complaints from local businesses and citizens.
Police wanted to ensure massage employees were not engaged in prostitution and were state certified in massage therapy. They were also checking business licenses and the sanitary conditions of each location.
EZ Massage, 603 12th Street, was ordered to stop business operations after one of its employees was arrested for solicitation of prostitution.
Police arrested Yongju Wu, 47, of San Gabriel for misdemeanor suspicion of solicitation of prostitution.
It is unknown if there were any other locations visited by police officials or if the investigation is ongoing. Additionally, it is unknown if EZ massage will reopen.
