WASCO — Four men were arrested by SWAT officers executing a search warrant for drug sales on Thursday morning in the small rural town of Wasco in northwest Kern County .
Kern County Sheriffs deputies from the North Area Crime Suppression Team, Wasco substation, and a Kern County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a search warrant in the 1800 block of “G” Street at approximately 6 a.m. on Dec. 5.
According to deputies, they discovered evidence during their search that indicated illegal narcotics were being manufactured on the property, as well as additional proof of the sales of those narcotics.
Richard Rubio, 39, was arrested for possession of narcotics for sales, manufacturing a controlled substance, keeping a house for purpose of narcotics sales, criminal conspiracy, and an outstanding parole warrant, while 47-year-old Isaac Sanchez the owner of the home was arrested for keeping a house for the purpose of narcotics sales, criminal conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Additionally, 29-year-old Cristian Gastelum and 28-year-old Jerell Ringold were both arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All four men were booked into the Central Receiving Facility in Bakersfield.
