ORANGE – William Wallace hoped to be in London for Christmas. Instead, he is currently under arrest in the Orange County Jail.
This change in vacation plans came from an alleged plot in which Wallace offered an undercover Orange County sheriff’s detective $30,000 to kill his ex-wife.
Apparently he felt as if it was more profitable to pay someone such a large sum of money to kill his ex-wife rather than settle anything else with her in court.
Wallace faces charges that include attempted murder and solicitation to commit murder. A conviction on these charges could result in a sentence of 26 years to life in prison.
Unlike the Mel Gibson character in “Braveheart,” this William Wallace will most likely not be declaring “freedom” for a long time.
