A Santa Rosa man allegedly killed his roommate’s dog on Tuesday evening, and then threatened to eat and kill the roommate, according to Sonoma County Sheriff’s investigators.
The victim said her roommate, 35-year-old Alan Evans, pulled her hair and slapped her, and then threatened to eat her, according to reports.
She escaped to her neighbor’s house and called authorities. Responding deputies found the roommate’s dog dead in Evans’ vehicle.
Evans was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty, assault with a deadly weapon, battery and making terrorist threats. His bail was set at $250,000.
According to an article in the October 3, 2013 edition of the Press Democrat, Evans himself was the victim of a machete attack inflicted on him by Adam Jordan Faustino. Evans had “numerous wounds all over his body.” Faustino was described as a “transient.”
