A San Francisco man was arrested last week for reportedly making over 70 angry phone calls to his ex-girlfriend and her husband.
Andrew Rustad, 37, had been dating the married Half Moon Bay woman for about six months, according to San Mateo County Prosecutors.
The woman split and went back to her husband last week when Rustad became verbally abusive, according to reports.
On the night they broke up, Rustad responded by calling the married couples’ home all night long and into the next morning. Many of the calls were threatening, with Rustad saying the husband “was dead” and that he would be waiting outside the home for him. The couple called the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and reported the alleged threats.
Sheriff’s officers apprehended Rustad when he showed up the next morning at the front entrance to the gated community where the couple lives. He was arrested on suspicion of criminal threats, stalking and making annoying phone calls.
