Suspects were in possession of 36 grams of Methamphetamine
HOLLISTER—Officers from the Hollister Police Department arrested three Hollister residents in connection with the sale and possession of narcotics at the McDonald’s Parking lot on San Felipe Road. Arrested were 66-year-old Jacob Dickinson, 36-year-old Daniel Jimenez and 36-year-old George Lake Jr.
At 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, agents from the UNET Taskforce were conducting an investigation at the McDonald’s parking lot when they called for assistance from the Hollister Police Department. UNET is the county’s Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team,
When police arrived they contacted Dickinson, Lake, and Jimenez outside the McDonald’s sitting in the vehicle owned by Dickinson. Dickinson was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was taken in custody.
The Hollister Police called the California Highway Patrol for assistance because they had the only K-9 in the area. CHP Officer R. Padilla responded and his K-9 and he immediately alerted police to drugs in a nearby vehicle that was owned by Jimenez.
“The K-9 was called in to do the search of Jimenez’s vehicle because when the taskforce contacted Jimenez, he was not in his vehicle but in Dickinson’s. “ Hollister Police Captain Carlos Reynoso said.
Lake was found to be in possession of a large amount of money, which was seized. All three suspects were arrested and transported to San Benito County Jail. Lake was booked for conspiracy to commit a crime, transportation of narcotics and attempting to conceal evidence and sales of methamphetamines.
Jimenez was booked for conspiracy to commit a crime and possession for sale of methamphetamine. Dickinson was booked for possession of methamphetamine.
