The Roseville Police Department recently arrested a man in connection to a robbery of prescription drugs at a local pharmacy, according to an official news bulletin.
Sean Michael Krueger, 30, of Auburn, was reportedly arrested on suspicion of robbery, delaying officers and possessing stolen property.
According to Roseville PD, on February 10, 2014, at 4:15pm, a man entered a drug store on Folsom Road in Roseville Square and approached the pharmacy counter. There, he reportedly demanded an employee to give him prescription narcotics, and threatened to shoot the employee if he was not given the drugs. No gun or weapon was reportedly ever seen.
The employee reportedly gave the suspect the drugs, and after which the suspect fled the store on foot. Roseville PD officers reportedly searched the surrounding area and, with the help of citizen witnesses, spotted the suspect entering Saugstad Park. The suspect — who was reportedly holding a bag of stolen drugs — ran and dove into Dry Creek, but then reportedly swam back to shore and surrendered to officers. During his swim back to shore, the suspect dropped the bag of medication into the creek, however, officers were reportedly able to retrieve it.
