According to Roseville PD, on February 17, 2014, at 11pm, an officer patrolling the parking lot of a hotel in the 200 block of Harding Boulevard noticed a guest watching him in a furtive manner from inside on of the hotel rooms. The officer reportedly found out that someone had rented a large block of rooms — including the one where he had seen the suspicious person — by using fraudulent credit card information.
Detectives reportedly responded to the hotel and served a search warrant for the fraudulently rented rooms. Upon searching the rooms, detectives reportedly uncovered stolen property and evidence of identity theft and drug sales. Their investigation reportedly led them to then serve another search warrant at an apartment on Quail Ridge Drive, where they reportedly found additional evidence of drug possession and sales, all resulting in nine arrests.
