A Lompoc teen is in jail for allegedly stabbing a man in the stomach over the weekend.
Kuriyan Summers-Dickinson, 18, was at a party in Isla Vista when he allegedly got into a fight with the 20-year-old victim.
He fled after the stabbing, but was picked up near the home by foot patrol officers. The victim was in critical condition, but has since stabilized, according to reports. Summers-Dickinson was booked on suspicion of attempted murder.
While officers were investigating the stabbing a crowd of more than 1,000 people formed near the home where the party had taken place. Members of the crowd threw bottles at the officers, and 20-year-old Otis Dezjuan Washington was arrested for allegedly inciting the crowd after he jumped on top of cars that were driving down Del Playa Drive. Another young man was arrested for allegedly spitting at one of the officers. He was detained and later released.
