BAKERSFIELD — Police are on the hunt for a man suspected of stabbing another man to death on Tuesday afternoon in central Bakersfield.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for Peter Moreno who they said killed Ivan Garcia on March 18, at about 4 p.m. in the 900 block of South Union Avenue in Bakersfield.
According to officials, Moreno and Garcia got into a physical confrontation, during which the Garcia was stabbed, and later died from his injuries.
After the stabbing, Moreno fled the area on a bicycle officials said.
Moreno is known to frequent the South Union Avenue area and can be identified by the numerous tattoos on his head, including one that reads “Peter Jr.” on the side of his head.
