HAWTHORNE, CA—If an area mechanic makes a killing in collecting driving violations and related crimes, will anyone care about the irony?
Antonio Deshun Eastland, 30, may have waited 30 years to conceive, compose and answer a question that may as well have been made ready for a crime brief published just in time for his many warrants, etc.
Eastland was picked up by Hawthorne police on Tuesday, April 1 shortly after midnight. The Hawthorne police officers who stopped him apparently did not file why he was stopped, but police records did state that he had five outstanding warrants from four southern California law enforcement agencies. The four agencies are Hawthorne Police Department (HPD), Long Beach Police Department (LBPD), Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD). The collective bail was set at $166,000.
It is unknown if he fixed his way out of the figurative collision.
