A man was stabbed on the 2400 block of Spring Street last week. According to Paso robles Police, they received a call on April 23 at around 11:45p.m. from Twin Cities Community Hospital regarding a report of a stabbing victim who had been admitted with non-life threatening wounds.
Police say the victim was a 19-year-old whose name will not be released. Said victim told police he was walking on the 3400 block of Spring St. with a friend when they were confronted by three Hispanic males. He then said one of the suspects made a comment regarding why the victim was wearing a red shirt, which is affiliated with a particular local gang.
The suspect then pushed the victim and began assaulting him.
The victim told police he realized he had been stabbed after feeling a sharp pain to his side during the assault. He also saw a large amount of blood on his shirt. The three suspects ran from the area immediately after the assault.
The victim is listed in stable condition with a stab wound to his torso.
Police are investigating the crime as being gang-affiliated, even though the victim claims he has no gang involvement.
