Sac Sheriff Arrests Local Psychologist for Sexual Battery

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department’s Sexual Assault Officers recently arrested a local psychologist for sexual battery and assault, according to an official press release.

Dr. Marvin Todd, 71, was reportedly arrested on Thursday, June 12, 2014, for assault, sexual battery and sexual exploitation by a physician, and was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.

Todd is reportedly a license psychologist in the Sacramento area who owns a private practice. According to an article on this arrest on Fox40.com, Todd has been a licensed clinical social worker since originally obtaining his license in California in 1975. According to records, in 2009 Todd was contracted with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s office to provide psychological services to the department. He was hired to provide counseling and stress management training as needed, at $110 per hour, not to exceed $35,000 for the year.

And according to another article on News10.net, the criminal complaint leading to Todd’s arrest include a female who accused him of touching her breasts and trying to kiss her, as well as two other females that stated Todd tried to kiss them.

Detectives are reportedly asking anyone who has information pertaining to suspicious or criminal behavior during the course of his practice to contact the Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Bureau at 916-874-5070.
