Apparently a motorist forgot how to drive a four-wheel vehicle, in this case, a Toyota pickup truck, and caused injury and damage while trying to park.
According to the Pomona Police, on Monday, July 21 around 7:30 a.m. on the 2200 block of South Garey Avenue, a man was trying to park his vehicle, but instead of hitting the brakes, he hit the gas pedal. The vehicle hit a person pushing a wheelchair in front of a liquor store, pushing the wheelchair through the store front. The man in the wheelchair suffered a possibly broken leg. The person pushing the wheelchair however, was not injured during the incident.
The injured victim was transported by ground ambulance to Arrowhead Medical Center.
The driver has not been identified or arrested, and according to the report, he himself was not injured. Pomona Police, however, found out that he was unlicensed.
