Sexual assault detectives from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department have reportedly arrested a man they believe is responsible for sexually violating three women in three different cases, according to an official press release. He was booked into Sacramento County Main Jail on charges of assault with deadly force, forcible rape, and sodomy by use of force.
Robert Derrick Hill, 20, was reportedly arrested at his workplace on Friday, July 25 on an arrest warrant issued on behalf of the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. According to his Facebook page, Hill is employed by GAT airline Ground Support working “Check in Counter, Ramp Handling, Ticket sales Airport, Boarding lounge, Terminal 1 & 2 Soeta 2006 Sacramento, California” He reportedly started that job last year, posting on August 7 “New job at the sacramento airport as a ramp agent yhis is were ima settle.”
According to Sac Sheriff, detectives believe Hill is responsible for three sexual assault cases committed between April 2013 and July 2014. However, detectives reportedly stated this arrest is not related to the Madison/I-80 serial rapist cases.
He is a suspect, however, in a January South Sacramento case on Golf Club Court in the Lindale Greens area, where he also reportedly lives. He is also suspect in an attack on a young woman in North Highlands, on Melrose Drive in April of 2013, and most recently, an incident on Massey Circle, again close to his home. That incident happened on July 10. In each case it was reported that the rapist grabbed the women from behind and dragged them somewhere and sexually assaulted them.
Detectives are asking anyone with information pertaining to this arrest to contact the Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Bureau at 916-874-5070. They are concerned that he may have had other victims that have not yet been reported or connected to him.
