Palmdale detectives have been searching for two suspects that are wanted for burglary, however, one of the suspects has now been found.
One of the two is believed to be responsible for around 30 commercial burglaries on or near Palmdale Blvd between 10th Street West and 20th Street East.
According to the report, upon sunrise, he would break into stores by smashing a window with a rock, walking into the store, and taking money out of the registers. A surveillance camera identified the suspect so that he could be found sooner than later. He was found and captured on Friday, August 8. He was recognized by the scars on the side of his face, with apparent baldness on his head on the photo that the surveillance camera captured. He was later identified as James Barnes, 38.
The other suspect, who has not been captured yet, has been identified as Matthew Jackson. He is wanted for burglary and currently has a $50,000 warrant for his arrest. Jackson, 20, is a black male who is approximately 6’2″, 190 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequently burglarize locations on the 37000 block of Verbena Court in Palmdale.
