The Paso Robles Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team Detectives arrested a juvenile suspect for narcotics for sale last Friday.
According to PRPD, SET members performed a traffic stop on a vehicle due to a mechanical issue. The driver was a 17-year-old male who did not have a driver’s license. Officers decided to have the vehicle towed due to the lack of a licensed driver. When the juvenile suspect stepped out of the vehicle, officers noticed a large object in one of his pants pockets.
When asked what the object was, the suspect told police it was heroin. Once removed the officers discovered the package was one ounce of black tar heroin with a street value of approximately $2, 200. The juvenile suspect was arrested for the felony violations of possession of narcotics for sales and transportation of narcotics.
The suspect also had in his possession $648.00 in cash. The juvenile was transported to Juvenile Services Center where he was booked into custody. His name is not being released because of his age.
