Santa Barbara – The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department, in concert with the Santa Maria Police Department, are actively seeking Clive Badi Decormarmond, a 41-year old native of the remote Seychelles Islands.
According to Santa Maria Police Department spokesman Lt. Mark Norling, Decormarmond is sought on a felony no-bail warrant pursuant to his failure to appear for trial on “multiple counts of child molestation” involving lewd acts “with five different victims”. Decormarmond was out on bail pursuant to two separate arrest events that occurred two years ago, and his failure to show make his court appearance has raised considerable concern that he “may have fled the area.”
Clues to his whereabouts are unique in that Norling reported to the media that his suspect “is believed to be in possession of a dog, a Labrador retriever of unknown color”, adding that because Decormarmond enjoys both U.S. citizenship and Seychelles citizenship, he is considered to be a strong flight risk. How one travels in the company of a large breed dog, however, was not detailed by Norling.
Decormarmond is also believed to be in the company of his 26-year old girlfriend, “identified only as ‘Stephanie’”, and that both were last seen driving a 2000-2006 model Toyota belonging to “Stephanie”.
Considering the fact that Decormarmond’s whereabouts are entirely unknown…and that “Stephanie” is not further identified…and that the Labrador retriever is of “unknown color”…and that the model year of the suspect vehicle has a six-year range of possibility, a trip to the Indian Ocean’s Seychelles Islands may soon be on the itinerary of local area detectives.
Until then, Lt. Norling is asking that “anyone who has information on Decormarmond’s whereabouts to contact law enforcement at (805) 928-3781.”
