San Luis Obsipo Sheriff’s investigators arrested two men for a child rape charge involving the same victim.
The first suspect, Oscar Higueros, Jr., 38, Cayucos was arrested last Thursday around 5:57 p.m. at his residence in Cayucos. According to the sheriff’s department, they received a report four days prior to the arrest regarding a report of child abuse of a minor under 18 years of age. An investigation was initiated into the incident that allegerdly occurred approximately one month prior to the report.
Higueros, a paid volunteer firefighter with the Cayucos Fire Department, became a suspect.
Investigators served a search warrant at the suspect’s residence where the incident allegedly took place, and arrested Higueros. He was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on three counts of rape by force or fear.
The second arrest occurred on Tuesday at approximately 5:03 p.m. in Freemont. Suspect Richard Scott Brooks, 38, San Francisco, was found to be another suspect that involved the same victim. Brooks was booked into SLO County Jail on three counts of rape by force or fear.
