SANTA ANA – He entered the store normally enough. He started slow. On Thursday September 18 a Hispanic male, dressed a yellow and black plaid shirt and black shorts, entered the Food 4 Less and procured a motorized scooter, on which he proceeded to ride around the store a bit.
After apparently seeing what he needed to see, the man alighted from his electronic transport and accosted the store manager, grabbing him from behind and putting him in a headlock.
The erstwhile couple then “danced” to the front office, where the robber had the bookkeeper fill his backpack with cash. But it didn’t end there.
The dark complected suspect, approximately 30 – 35 years old and weighing approximately 250 – 280 pounds, took the manager by the arm and walked him out of the store, stealing his car keys and then, by matter of course, his car. Said car is a 2001 silver Toyota Echo with the license plate 4NFE493. At press time the vehicle is still missing, and the robber has not been apprehended.
Orange County Crime Stoppers welcomes anyone with information as to the identity of the robber to call 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
Update: The suspect was later identified as Antonio Delgado Juarez, who had been arrested in another incident of burglary and battery on Monday of this week, according to a report by ABC7.
