The San Luis Obispo Police have a woman in custody after she allegedly rear-ended another vehicle while driving drunk on Saturday near the 500 Block of Marsh Street around 2 p.m.
According to SLOPD, the alleged DUI driver, Lisa Rae Davis, 53, of SLO, was driving a gray, 2002 Ford F-150 truck when she rear-ended a gray, 2008 Subaru Outback driven by a 46-year old female SLO resident.
According to SLOPD, the Subaru stopped for a red traffic light at the intersection of Marsh and Nipomo Streets when her vehicle was struck. The impact caused a minor injury to the driver of the Subaru.
Officers determined Davis was driving her vehicle while impaired by alcohol at the time of the collision. Davis was also driving with a suspended license that was suspended for a prior DUI.
Investigators also discovered Davis had an active warrant for her arrest for failure to appear on a prior DUI arrest. Davis was booked into the SLO County Jail for felony DUI causing injury, driving on a suspended driver’s license and the DUI-related warrant. Her bail for the warrant was $10,000 and the bail for the felony DUI arrest was set at $100,000.
