INGLEWOOD, CA—As the charter city that is home to the re-opened Fabulous Forum races to the end of the year, the murder count continues to go and another young body has gone down.
Marvin Bonifacio, 22, was arrested by Inglewood police (IPD) for first degree murder (187(A)PC) on Friday, November 14 at approximately 8:15 a.m. He was alleged to have shot to death his girlfriend, Zuly Flores, 20, on Thursday, November 13 at approximately 11:15 p.m.
Bonifacio was picked up hours after the incident near his residence on the 300 block of West Olive Avenue in Inglewood. Although he was in Inglewood court on Tuesday morning, the case remains under investigation.
According to the Daily Breeze, a Torrance-based South Bay daily metropolitan newspaper, bail was set at $1 million. IPD arrest records, however, showed no bail amount.
Flores’ death is the 18th shooting homicide in 2014 for the City of Inglewood. It is one more than all the homicides in Inglewood during 2013, that number being 17.
