Monique Farias and 37-year-old Ricardo Arredondo were booked into the Kern County Jail on charges of kidnapping, burglary and conspiracy. Their bail has been set at $525,000.
According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began when on Jan. 5, when Farias showed up at the home of Kimberly and Terry Finch in the 500 block of Twinleaf in Oildale to see her biological daughter, who the Finch’s had temporary guardianship and custody of since December.
Accompanied by Arredondo, the two were allowed to enter the residence to see the girl but were refused to take the girl to lunch.
That’s when Farias took the girl from the home through a bedroom window, while Kimberly spoke to Arredondo.
