San Jose Police are searching for two young male homicide suspects after they were identified at the scene of the shooting. 19-year-old Sai Hoang Le and 18-year-old Nam Nguyennhut Huynh are wanted by the San Jose Police Homicide Unit for the shooting death of one male victim shot at the scene, Alexander Thach Nguyen.
Sergeant Heather Randol with the San Jose Police Department reported, “On January 1, 2015 at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a call of a person who was shot at the Reign Lounge located at 1071 E. Capitol Expressway.” Randol said, “Officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.”
Both shooting victims were transported to a local hospital where they were treated for their injuries. However, Nguyen succumbed to his injuries and passed away. A second victim that had been shot suffered non-life threatening injuries and was released. Randol said, “The motive is unknown and the suspects, identified as Sai Le and Nam Huynh, are outstanding.”
The two victims were outside the night club when one was shot in the face and the other in the chest. Reign Lounge just opened in December, replacing the My Tho Vietnamese Restaurant in the Gould Center shopping plaza.
