INGLEWOOD, CA—Some people do a bit of petty theft, and some folks murder in the heat of passion. Then there are those who go the whole hog and apparently plan the crimes for which they are charged.
Jaime Alvarez Ruiz, 35, was arrested by Inglewood police officers on Monday, January 12 at approximately 2:30 p.m. He was picked up along the 900 block of South Kenwood Avenue where it intersects Arbor Vite and near the 405 freeway in Inglewood.
The Inglewood resident, who according to police records is a “laborer,” was charged with no fewer than seven violations: owning/possessing a firearm by a convicted felon (29800(A)1PC), carrying a loaded firearm in a public place (25850(A)PC), carrying a concealed weapon on his person (25400(A)2PC), grand theft of money and/or property exceeding $400 (487(A)PC), taking a vehicle without owning it (10851(A)VC), battery on a peace officer (243(B)PC) and obstructing/resisting a peace officer (148(A)1PC). He was also found to have one warrant from the Los Angeles Police department (LAPD) for failure to appear (40508(A)VC).
The total bail for the violations was $180,766.
