San Luis Police arrested a man for DUI after he allegedly collided with another vehicle on Friday.
According to SLOPD, officers responded to a call regarding a traffic collision involving three vehicles at the intersection of Foothill Rd. and Broad St.
When police arrived on the scene, they determined driver Paul Daniel Robin, 51, was driving his vehicle eastbound on Foothill Rd. when he collided with a vehicle that was stopped for a red light at Broad St.
Investigators say the force of the collision caused the vehicle that was stopped at the light to propel forward and strike another vehicle in front of him who was also stopped for the red light. Police say both drivers sustained injuries along with one passenger.
After investigating officers checked all drivers for impairment, they found Robin was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Robin was arrested for felony DUI causing a collision with injures and was transported to San Luis Obispo County Jail where he was booked. His bail was set at $100,000.
