The San Luis Police Department has a man in custody after he allegedly threatened to beat up a woman.
According to SLOPD, they received a call from the victim, Annmarie O’Connor, age unknown, around 12:15 p.m. on Friday. Police say the suspect, Timothy Michael Coleck, 57 and a transient of San Luis Obispo, was walking by himself on Osos Street near Mill Road when the female victim approached. O’Connor purposely walked around him toward her destination. It is unknown at time of press what O’Connor’s destination was.
Coleck, for unknown reasons, became immediately agitated with the victim and started yelling at her. The victim stated Coleck threatened to kill her and beat her up in front of the police department, which is just around the corner on Walnut Street. Coleck followed the victim to Walnut where she was able to get inside of a building and call the police via 911. Being on the same block as the incident, they were able to respond quickly.
Coleck was stopped a block away and was positively identified by the victim. He was booked into county jail for criminal threats and his bail was set at $50,000. Coleck had been arrested on December 17 for disorderly conduct by San Luis Obispo police, and by Redding police, in Northern California in May 2014 for making unlawful 911 calls, contempt of court, failure to appear and parole violations. Two years ago he was charged with attacking three women in downtown San Luis Obispo on January 10, 2013. He was said to have punched one, and spit at two others.
