Two men are in custody after members of the Paso Robles Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) served a narcotics-related search warrant on a local residence.
According to PRPD, the warrant was served last Saturday at a residence on the 1800 block of Serra Way.The warrant was requested after police received reports of possible drug activity at the residence. During a search of the house, detectives discovered approximately 5.2 grams of heroin, 10 grams of methamphetamine, numerous pills, scales, hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested Christopher Cortelyou, 38, of Paso Robles for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of narcotics and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Cortelyou was issued a notice to appear in court.
Also arrested was John Richardson, 35, of Paso Robles for felony possession of controlled substance for sales, felony possession of narcotic for sales and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Richardson was transported to San Luis Obispo County Jail. Both men reported their residence as the Serra Way home in south Paso Robles, off South River Road near the Paso Robles Gold Club.
Records show that Cortelyou has been arrested at least three previous times in the past year, in August, June, and April, on drug related charges.
