A former Woodland firefighter accused of embezzlement reached agreement with prosecutors on a plea deal to resolve the case.
Dominic Norman, 41, a resident of Vacaville, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor embezzlement charge. He received 3 years of probation and 80 hours community service. In addition, according to the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office, Norman was ordered to pay $825.00 in restitution.
Woodland police had arrested Norman back in November because he was suspected of using a credit card issued by the city government for personal spending. He had worked for the Woodland Fire Department since January, 2006 and resigned in early October, before he was arrested.
