The San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a disabled juvenile Los Osos girl.
According to the sheriff’s office, they received a call on Friday, March 27 around 2:10 p.m. from a local hospital regarding a report of a 16-year-old developmentally disabled girl who had been sexually assaulted the night before at a home in the 1200 block of 11th Street in Los Osos.
The victim reported she had gone to a friend’s home to to spend the night. Investigators say at approximately 9 p.m., the girl’s friend, the friend’s mother, grandmother and brother all went to bed.
At the same time, the victim went to the couch in the living room for the night. Police say the father of the friend, identified as Steve James Linzmeier, 57 of Los Osos, was in the living room watching television. Investigators claim at some point during the night, Linzmeier went over to the girl and sexually assaulted her.
Linzmeier was arrested on multiple charges, including rape by force, child molestation and committing a violent crime against a person who is disabled. He was transported to San Luis Obispo County Jail, and his bail is $175,000.
