A Saturday night in Folsom turned violent when a 30-year-old man was shot outside a popular bar. At about 12:45 AM on April 5, Folsom Police responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down. The incident occurred at the 600 block of Sutter Street in Folsom.
According to the Folsom Police Department, when officers arrived, they found a 30-year-old male had been shot at the entrance to the Powerhouse Pub. Police have not released the identity of the victim, who was transported to an area hospital where he was reported to be in critical condition.
Witnesses reported seeing an argument before the shooting took place. A search for the suspect immediately occurred with assistance from a helicopter and police dogs. Despite an extensive search by officers, the suspect fled without detection.
Detectives continued their investigation throughout the day on Easter Sunday and served multiple search warrants in El Dorado County. The investigation led officers to Frank Vincent Sierras, 24, of El Dorado Hills, who was arrested in connection to the shooting. The suspect was taken to Sacramento County Jail where he was booked on attempted murder charges. His bail was set at $1,000,000.

UPDATE: On Wednesday, April 8, the Folsom Police Department announced the arrest of a second suspect in the shooting. Greg Scott Ashman, 26 and also of El Dorado Hills, was arrested after investigators obtained a warrant for him as a suspect. He was found in Reno, Nevada. He is currently being held in the Washoe County jail pending extradition to Sacramento County. No further details of his involvement, or why he was determined to be a suspect, were released due to the ongoing investigation.
