An arrest was made on Thursday, May 7 by Madera Police for domestic violence. According to an official media report from the Madera County Department of Corrections, Analberto Martinez, 23, was brought in on one county of willful cruelty to a child with the possibility of death or endangerment, and one county of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or co-habitant.
In addition to the two felony charges, Martinez was also booked for misdemeanor damaging a wireless device, such as a cell phone, with the intent to prevent a person from summoning law enforcement or emergency personnel. He was booked at the Madera County Jail at 8:34 that evening. He was initially charged with resisting arrest when detained at his North Lake Street residence and brought in by Madera Police .
Martinez, who reports his occupation as groundsman, shows one prior arrest, according to available records. On December 10, 2011, when he was 19-years-old, he was arrested for driving under the influence with blood alcohol level over .08%. He was also charged with hit-and-run causing property damage in that incident.
Bail was set at $75,000 for the latest charges.
