BAKERSFIELD — A 44-year-old Bakersfield man is behind bars today after allegedly stabbing a man last Friday night. Adolfo Santiago was booked and is being held in to the Kern County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, the stabbing occurred at a trailer park located in the 900 block of South Union Avenue in central Bakersfield, at around 11:30 p.m. on May 22.
When deputies arrived on scene, they said they found 20-year-old Jose Medina of Bakersfield suffering from several stab wounds to his upper right arm.
Deputies also learned from Medina that he and Santiago had gotten in to an altercation at the residence before Santiago allegedly stabbed him. Medina was taken to Kern Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening wounds.
