HAWTHORNE, CA—Using the buddy system for burglary usually calls for one to break in and one to keep watch, but sometimes it doesn’t work out.
Tremond Antrell Smith, 36, and Kimberly Kay Moore, 27, were arrested on Saturday, May 23 at approximately 11 p.m. The two were picked up along the 4700 block of West 118th Street at the intersection of Eucalyptus Avenue in Hawthorne.
Smith, a resident of Lancaster, was charged with burglary (459PC), possessing another person’s identification (530.5(A)PC), grand theft of money (487(A)PC), receiving known stolen goods (496(A)PC) and illegal possession of ammunition (30305(A)1PC). He was also found to have a warrant for a parole violation from Region IV (San Bernardino County).
Moore, a Hawthorne resident, was charged with using another person’s identification (530.5(A)PC), grand theft of money, burglary and receiving known stolen goods. She also was recently arrested on April 29 for forgery and theft.
Bail for Smith was set at $190,000; bail for Moore was set at $140,000.
