According to the Milpitas Police Department, on Tuesday, June 30 at approximately 2:44 A.M., a Milpitas police officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a 2004 black Cadillac CTS for a vehicle code violation.
The Officer contacted the driver of the vehicle, 34 year-old Lloyd Lee Cracraft and two passengers, 26 year-old Javier Palacios and 18 year-old Elisabeth Contreras. Cracraft did not have a California driver’s license and had a suspended driver’s license from Arizona. Cracraft and Palacios displayed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance and were convicted felons in the state of Arizona for narcotics related offenses.
Sergeant Matthew Miller with the Milpitas Police Department said, “During the course of the investigation, officers searched the 2004 Cadillac CTS and located approximately 2 ounces of heroin with a street value of approximately $4,200.00, digital scales, an unloaded Glock 9mm pistol and two loaded pistol magazines.”
During the initial investigation it was determined that the pistol had been reported stolen out of Phoenix, Arizona. Lloyd Lee Cracraft and Javier Palacios were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for transportation and possession of heroin for sales, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of stolen property and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
The female passenger Elisabeth Contreras was also booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for transportation and possession of heroin for sales, possessing of a concealed firearm in a vehicle and possession of stolen property.
